Caitlin Myer is a nomad. For the past few years, her home has been her suitcase. She's been on four continents and has lived in several countries. Follow her journey on Night Walk.
Myer completed a residency in spring of 2012 at MacDowell Colony, where she was recipient of a fellowship from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, for her in-progress novel, Red Wagon. Her short story "God Time" was recently published in Joyland. Other short stories have been published in charming, short-lived literary magazines, online journals and the occasional anthology.
Her first novel, Hoodoo, was serialized on Fiction365. She is the founder of the literary reading series Portuguese Artists Colony, where authors compete in Live Writing - composing new works onstage while live musicians play.
Her one-woman play about Simone de Beauvoir attracted sold-out crowds in Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Provo, Utah. Yes, she was raised Mormon. No, she doesn't practice. If you buy her a drink, she'll be happy to tell you all about it.
