Five cool things to do in Ireland

Ireland is one of the top tourist destinations in the world, with many from all over the globe continually flocking to The Emerald Isle.

Many will want to visit the country as they want to experience some of the cultures that have been made popular in various forms of media entertainment, whilst others will want to try and enjoy certain elements of cuisine that are on offer, with the country known for certain food and drink products. Another popular reason for visiting the small nation is because many have ancestry that is from the Isle, therefore many go looking to experience where previous generations of their family have come from.

Regardless of the reason to visit Ireland, it is perhaps wise to go and visit one of the endless attractions that the country has to offer, with picturesque scenes and plenty of history on offer, as well as some of the very best cultural experiences and the ability to enjoy some of the best nightlife that can be found anywhere in the world.

Let’s explore just five of the coolest things to do whilst in Ireland, though, otherwise, we could be writing an article that never ends!

4. Guinness Storehouse

Have you really been to Ireland if you have not been to the Guinness Storehouse and poured yourself your own pint of Ireland’s most famous export? That is what some will be asking you if you do not visit it!

The brewery has become a famous hotspot for many who visit the country, with many taking the opportunity to witness how the iconic beverage is made and how things come together, whilst also learning all about the history before getting to the end where they get to pour their own pint!

5. Newgrange in County Meath

For those who really want to experience the history that Ireland truly has to offer, then they might want to go and visit the archaeological site of Newgrange, which is in County Meath.

This site is one of the oldest in the world, as it dates to approximately the New Stone Age – which is around 3,200BCE – and is understood to be older than the Egyptian pyramids that exist.

Those that manage to visit during the winter solstice will be able to enjoy the fact that the chamber will be filled with sunlight via the roof box that is located above the entrance.
