Equality for All

I believe and value equality especially since I am a woman of color so that affects me and my black and brown brothers and sisters also. Several instances in the black and brown community make it clear there is still work that needs to be done, for everyone to feel like they belong in the United States of America.
Many people in the United States have experienced negative things for the color of their skin and that is not fair to them nor should it be acceptable and okay. Inequality does not just reside in the color of your skin, it also resides in how much money you have, or what house you have. Over the course of 2020, there were several instances that occurred when a black male was murdered by a white police officer when other precautions could have been held and presented. George Floyd was a 46 year old father of one, who was murdered by a white police officer named Derek Chauvin. Another sad part is the fact that some people don’t seem to have a problem with what the officer did, and continued to call his actions protocol when it was reviewed that he was not supposed to execute that physical aggression towards Mr. Floyd.
Equality is something not everyone may be on board for, a big reason that racial inequality is still active is because people, generally parents, tend to teach their kids these actions and thoughts before they can make their own sense of people outside of their own race.
There are several videos and articles of examples that racism is taught and not randomly sprouted in people’s heads, this hate and wanting to exterminate races merely because you’re prejudice isn’t fair to the good, smart, and nice people working hard to live without being profiled.
It’s not hard to be a good person, but the effort for you to go out of your way to make someone else miserable and not appreciate themselves isn’t right. It’s alarming and looks like you have self hate bundled deep within you scratching to get out, but instead is being sprouted onto others around you.
