Jamie Asaye FitzGerald is a Los Angeles mixed race/hapa poet from Hawai’i with work in journals and anthologies, including The American Poetry Review, Works & Days and Mom Egg Review. She earned an MFA in poetry from San Diego State University and a BA in English/Creative Writing from the University of Southern California. For over a decade, she has worked for Poets & Writers in its Los Angeles office. During the pandemic, she began the practice of writing haiku.
