Why Should We Be Held In Bondage

Why should we be held in bondage?
Why should the brutal men afflict us
With their fierce bullets of aggravating tortures.

We are humans, yet they treat us as ants
On our snowy garments, they throw red pebbles
And we are made as the wanders that have no mother.

For how long will our souls yearn?
Our handcuffed cities cry aloud viled
The lands sprout out blood.

Yet in hope, we believe in a rising sun
From God, our North star π
To conquer these woes and give us peace eternal.
