If I can be

He prowls, stalks, preys

He waits

Eyes following, never blinking

They grow bigger as I grow nearer

He flexes –spine rolling

He pounces

Would it have been better to leave him outside?

Would it have been better if I stayed outside?

I hunted for a game, but my feet were never light.

I don’t know how to utilize the space I may occupy.

I’m sloppy, I’m unpracticed, I’m unprepared

The buzzing will never stop.

The dust will never fade.

The scent will always be.

And I a prisoner, a patient, a presence

I cannot run from the world.

I cannot define the world.

I can only be one in this world.
