Red Chairs of Sarajevo

This past weekend, to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the siege of Sarajevo, the city became an art installation, as simple as it was moving. Red Line Sarajevo, as the installation was called, placed 11,541 red chairs in the main street of Bosnia’s capital, one for each victim of the violence.
Filmmaker Ado Hasanovic captured the day in this short, well-made film.
