Rest in Peace, Ravi Shankar (1920-2012)
In the movement of culture between East and West, Ravi Shankar was a towering figure who brought classical Indian music to our ears and, even more importantly, shared a passionate devotion to music as a spiritually uniting force. “Musical instruments,” he said, “are like part of God.”
