Will These Theatre Makers Find Asylum?

Good theatre is something we support with a passion, as we do those newcomer theatre makers that are trying to expand the art form through their own passions for it. The Rainy Day Players are one such group. They’re a new Philadelphia collective with the goal of bringing great theatre to the Philadelphia community they serve. They are entirely comprised of past and present students from Temple University, and their debut project, Asylum, will be featured in the 2013 Philly Fringe Festival in September.
They describe the production as: “A dark comedy, psychological thriller, and an earnest look of the life of an addict all at once. Addiction, be it to a drug or a “drug” is devastating and we’re honored to bring this much needed tale of it to the Philadelphia theater scene.”
In order to pull off the production, The Rainy Day Players need to raise $3,000 by July 15, 2013, to support expenses for theater rental, sets, lighting, costumes, and sound. Your donations will go entirely towards these efforts and towards keeping good theatre alive.
